There are so many things we are grateful to God for.
Interestingly, It takes grace to recall these wonderful testimonials when the need arises.
I’m talking about when life throws you a curve ball without notice. A time when a new challenge seems entirely different from the previous and you can hardly recollect how you managed to scale through in the past.
But thank God for His Holy Spirit who promptly reminds us of how far we have come and how God has been faithful and supportive. Surely, these clear and specific reminders serve to boost our faith and ofen times become the wind beneath our wings to carry us into the fullness of what God has in store for us.
At other times, a specific verse from God’s word comes to us so strongly and the belief plus confession of same produce the result that we eagerly desire to see.
I remember my experience as a young graduate searching for job in Lagos State. My O’level certificate carried an irrevocable P7 in mathematics and since I knew that credit in mathematics and English were basic requirements in most job applications, I attended most of my job interviews with some quiet apprehension.
I desired to be a banker those days. I wrote and passed some tests, got shortlisted for interviews but I was disqualified at the final stage after submitting my certificates for appraisal. Somehow, they just didn’t get back to me as promised.
My breakthrough came when I stumbled on Psalm 138:8 which says “The Lord shall perfect that which concerns me”… This scripture practically jumped out at me and gave me confidence. I knew at once that God was saying that He would make up for my shortcoming!.
At my next interview (although not a bank), after a few questions, my interviewer went through my documents, gave me a long look and said “Welcome on board”.
The Lord got me that job.
Can I get an amen?…
